Keyhole

How do I have communion

By myself 

In the back room

(Where I am not hiding,

Where I look through the keyhole)

I hear the singing

The altar call

The passing of the peace.

It is so easy to be

Lured in

By a smile

That takes my hand and

Shows me the door.

This is how the church hurts.
